I have a translation of [type of visa-related or legal document] and would like to clarify the review scope without sending sensitive full text at this initial stage. Does the quote cover editing the target language only, or checking the meaning against the source? Which source and translation versions are needed for each option? How will passages be marked as not checked against the source if source pages are missing or outside the agreed scope? I do not treat language review as legal review, certification or a guarantee of acceptance.
